Relieve Your Eyes from Dark Circles

Dark circle is the common eye problem faced by many of us. As the eye skin is delicate and sensitive slight decrease in any essential component of eye may cause darkness under and around the eyes. It has been found that when eyes get exposed to extreme conditions like sun rays, eyes experiences a vaporization of moisture and dehydration like conditions appear. Skin around the eyes become tanned and turn dark. Generally when dark circles appear due to the following factors:
  • One of the common reasons for dark circle formation is insufficient sleep. Lack of sound sleep causes a stress like situation on brain as well as eyes. Due to which the skin around eyes become pale that makes blood vessels appear more prominently and appear bluish dark.
  • Retention of fluid that commonly causes due to excess dietary salt and smoking may cause dark circles under eyes.

  • Dehydration results into dark circles.
  • Dark circles can also be heredity and transferred from generations. These dark circles are more prominently seen in fair deep-eye person.
  • Formation of iron deficiency anemia may reflect bluish tinge color below the eyes.
These causes of dark circles can be avoided and remedies to it are found out accordingly.

Some of the common home remedies to this problem are:
  • Take sufficient sleep and relaxation.
  • Drink enough of water to prevent dehydration.
  • Cover skin by protective covering of sunscream of minimum SPF of 30 and sunglasses that will prevent tanning.
  • Place cucumber circles on the eyes closed for 20 minutes.
  • Prevent too much consumption of salt that is sodium in diet.
  • Studies have shown that vitamin K help with bruising. So prefer creams that contain vitamin K.
  • Vitamin C tightens and strengthens blood vessels.
It has been found that grape seed extract and pycnogenol are good source of antioxidant pigment that may also strengthen blood vessels. Many foodstuffs like cranberries, blueberries, tea (green and black), bilberries, black currant, onions, legumes, and parsley.

Thus, these preventive measures will help you to protect eyes against dark circles. Dark circles also appear when you are under severe depress and tension. Any type of disorder in your sight may exert great strain on the eyes, thus resulting darkness around it.
